From Pizza Now to Angry Gene's.

Gene Singer started Pizza Now armed with 40 years of restaurant experience and an industrious wife, not much else. Donna stood outside with a shaker board on the side of the road to steer customers in and Gene manned the register from the first customer to the last. 100-hour workweeks were an absolute for the first year and a half of Pizza Now's existence. "Angry Gene" wasn't angry, because he was in business for himself, finally making money, for himself.

Fast forward 20 years, Gene has three sons ready to bring his name to a larger audience. With "Pizza Now" already having been trademarked in other states, Stephen, Andrew, and Daniel decided to pay tribute to their pop with a nod to his temper.

If it Were Easy, Everyone Would do it

Owning your own business is difficult. You are the first call for any and every problem that your employees face in your absence, which is why a present and diligent owner is a necessity to building a strong relationship in whatever community you choose to build in.

Angry Gene has a Son for that...
Stephen rolled dough balls in the back of the store the night before Pizza Now officially opened in January of 2006. Andrew had been spreading the word throughout West Chicago Community High School for the previous month, ensuring a lobby full of exuberant high school seniors on opening night. Daniel was 14 years old, unaware that Pizza Now would be able to act as a first job and only career. 



Stephen, Andrew, and Daniel know pizza. More specifically, they know volume-based pizza sales. Each and every son knows what it feels like to be worked to the bone after a crazy Friday night. On the flip side, each and every one knows what a slow store feels like. Gene's sons have spent the better part of two decades finding ways to keep the stores as busy as possible, and will do the same for anyone willing to join the family.

What separates Angry Gene's from more established franchises on the market is the commitment from Stephen, Andrew, and Daniel. Those are the only names a franchisee needs to learn. There will be no "bait and switch". No question will be too basic, and no concern deemed trivial. The success of franchisees is the company’s biggest goal moving forward.
